He Said, “Fry It” and I “Broiled It”!
It’s many times when I may have my focus in such a straight forward direction toward the destination that I miss the sounds and signs of a more lighter route. As I made my way in preparing dinner I kindly took the request of my husband wanting lightly battered fried chicken breast. All while my face was plastered to my dear laptop. Not so good! I thought okay quick and easy. So, I then placed my laptop into sleep mode (maybe nap mode), straightened up a few things and made my way to the kitchen and BROILED the chicken!
Wasn’t until my husband came in the kitchen as said, “It’s taking you a little long…what happen to the FRIED chicken?” and boom it hit me. “Oh my, I apologize it totally slipped my mind!”
So, two things I took from this:
1. As a web and graphics designer I keep myself totally focused on output so in turn I’m steadily searching for the ‘turn-it-off’ button once I’m family centered. Gotta find it quick!
2. This is what many of my clients thank me for. Completing the project with great taste whether its baked, broiled, fried, boiled or grilled!
In conclusion, I fed my family a healthy (healthier) meal and learned a couple of good lessons along the way.
