How Mobile Are YOU? | Reach Mobile Users

ChavonNachelle 0 Comment

I ask this question because 85% of Americans have a cellphone and one of those are you and many of them are your website visitors. We often rely on just a simple name, email and submit button to subscribe people to our feeds, newsletters, lists. etc. It’s a known fact that email is the best method of nudging subscribers to buy. Knowing that it may take many visits to get one conversion, not a single visit. New traffic may not lead directly to a sale, but if it turns into a micro-conversion, such as a newsletter sign up, registration or social login, then this is a excellent asset.

But what about SMS Sign-Up Updates?

1.  A vast amount of Americans own cellphones with text-messaging services.

With not everyone having a smartphone you beat out the use of QR handsdown. You can reach many!

2.  Reduce collection of no good email addresses.
3. The convenient use.

Many of us actually SLEEP with our phones, so without saying, they are often on us at all times. If you send a text message linking your new blog post for alert and viewing, it’s a lot easier to read from the cell phone than grabbing a computer and navigating to the post online.

  • notify subscribers for new blog posts
  • notify subscribers on specific page updates
  • send emails out in batches to support big subscriber lists
  • spam prevention support (captcha)
  • support for all the major wireless carriers (now including MetroPCS and US Cell)
4. Manually enter SMS ESP subscribers.

Don’t worry about your previous SMS list missing out on updates.

So, consider this in your web design to encourage your visitors and prospects to receive text message updates on your content and not to miss a beat!

Also, understand that having people who sign up via SMS in a separately helps you track list growth and overall performance.
